Martis Camp finishes, to the architect's spec
Work in the Camp is specification work. Finishes are chosen by an architect or designer, submitted to design review, and expected to be executed exactly. There's no improvising a substitute product because the first one is backordered. We build sample boards, get sign-off, and hit the spec.
What Martis Camp does to paint
- Architect-specified products and sheens, matched exactly, no substitutions
- Heavy timber and cedar needs staining and clear-coat systems, not paint
- Design review submittals for exterior color and finish changes
- Occupied-home etiquette: quiet crews, daily cleanup, no radios
Sample boards before anything goes on the house
For high-spec work we finish physical sample boards in the actual product and sheen, then set them against the house in daylight. Colors that looked right on a chip in a designer's office frequently do not look right on a north elevation at 6,000 feet.
